This tour starts off at office at Caracas bay. Arriving at the office you will have some time to get ready. In a short briefing you will be told how the tour is going to be done. Active types will love this tour with the jetski and snorkeling. Things kick off with a jetski adventure along the coast and you’ll sail under an old pier along the way. Look closely and you’ll see how the sun changes the colour of the water – you might even spot the red coral beneath the pier. You’ll also pass Fort Beekenburg, which was originally built in 1703 to protect the inner bay, and Quarantine House – an old manor estate that used to be an Quarantaine hospital. From here, it’s on to Doctor’s Bay, where you’ll be kitted out with snorkel gear so you can head into the water. You’ll visit a shipwrecked tugboat that’s home to a long list of underwater creatures – including turtles, rays and rainbow-coloured fish. This is Curacao’s top snorkelling spot, so bring an underwater camera if you have one. Just So You Know… You’ll need a pair of reef shoes – or shoes you’re happy to get wet – as well as a change of clothes for the bus for this one and sunscreen.
